No pc at the moment - u dont realise how much u rely on the net until u dont have it!

This arvo hubby put a huge NO JUNK MAIL sign on our letterbox. One guess what it was full of a short time later!

OMG just got our Electricity bill, please bear in mind we have GAS too.

 $500 !!!! I know its been freezing, the kids have electric/oil column heaters in their rooms (on timers) but we were more worried about the gas bill for the main heater NOT the electricity bill.

Back in March/April when Adelaide sweltered through 14 days of 40 plus heat, the electricity bill hardly changed.....

This has got us asking - could it be the computer?  On for most of the day (I have said I am addicted - but maybe its not cheaper than the pokies!) Can anyone shed some light on electricity usage of a PC?

Hey, and I have barely used the dryer... 

I am so cold have gone back 2 bed 2 blog ! olympics in background (bad night) James managed half day at school hopefully his asthma cough will ease soon!

How cute is this pic ?  How good was the opening ceremony?  I kept nodding off (bad night last night) but what I saw was pretty good....  We have a couple of these characters from Maccas too...

The kids were really excited, school have been pretty full on about Olympic discussions...lets hope Australia does well....

My little man has been home ALL week...things are bad when he can only manage a mouthful of a TimTam..lots of nibbled at discarded food! oh and did I mention croup at 2am this morning! tired, tired, tired!

Had to share with you the power of the email that I have just experienced.....what do they say "You can only ask"

When James was about 2, an insurance company here in Adelaide had a TV Commercial with the background music being "I remember when I was young" by Matt Taylor (Chain).  My little man used to dance to the tv when it came on, it was soooo cute.....

Couldnt find a clear version on the internet so I emailed the company (SGIC/MBF) as at the time I couldnt remember the name of the song.....

After a few emails, they sent me a copy of the song in the mail - HOW NICE

What was all the vibe about random acts of kindness  - was it "Pay if Forward"?

Reminds me of another time when I was trying to track down a Fisher Price train item for the little guy - emailed Target, they located it and sent it to me (via an air-bag mind you) and never sent an account....well it was Christmas - but how nice

So, now I will have to put my thinking cap on and think how I can "Pay it Forward"......

No time to blog these days....what with a sick birthday girl, busy, busy weekend, tax to do, MORE birthdays to celebrate.....

Honestly August is a huge month for birthdays - my baby, then aunty, then step dads 60th, then 2 brother in laws, a couple of friends scattered in the middle of the month, then a sister in law, then a nieces boyfriend ..... culminating in a 21st at the end of the month......I'll be all birthday'd out.....

That reminds me....better go to Smokemart and stock up with cards.

BOY this scotch is going down well......thats what you get for rushing.....

Boo - my little school girl is sick......bad ear infection...

Yippeeee - James has (after 2 years) managed to go into school by himself!!  Would you believe I actually felt those pangs of separation (finally) when he toddled into school ALONE....

Looking so calm and NORMAL!  I was soooo proud....

AND to top it all off.......he has even been coming out by himself - without the 'routines and rituals' we have been going through for those 2 years.....

At the toy sale that is...went in with a strategy..went straight from school drop and was out ready 4 latte @ 945! My catch was a leapster-ours died leaving us with $100s games with nothing 2 play it on...EBAY had 2nd hand ones over $100
